With these warm days with which May has started we want to enjoy this  nice weather, open air, some short breaks… And after seeing these images of Casas Caiadas it is normal if we feel an overwhelming desire to travel to the Portuguese Alentejo.

Casas Caiadas

Portugal is a beautiful country, with cities and spots that inevitably catch you. Alentejo is one of those regions that are worth knowing, and if we can have at our disposal a house like the one we are looking at to know the area, what more could we ask for?

Pure white

This charming home is owned by a young Lisboan couple who decided to leave their urbanite life in the Portuguese capital to reconnect with nature, transforming a group of old watermills so that tourists could enjoy their vacation in a lovely place. And they have certainly done it!

A charming dining room

Surrounded by olive trees and traditional buildings, these houses have been renovated using traditional techniques and trying to respect the most of the original architecture and details that add spice to this type of building, with areas where the stone is visible, those attractive brick arches and the wood in the beams of the ceilings.

The inside, as you can see, is predominantly white, cleanliness, open spaces decorated with international design furniture perfectly combined with antique furniture and handmade objects.

We particularly love the look they have given to it, with that air that mixes simplicity and purity, but it is relaxing and enjoyable at the same time, to reengage in a natural way and without distractions in the environment that surrounds these apartments to where we would love to already get away. What do you think of these houses located in the Portuguese Alentejo?
