Every time, when we think of shops and firms with a Nordic style, Sweden comes first to our mind, that is for sure! And then probably we think of Denmark but nevertheless rarely in Iceland, even though in there there is also much and very good home design.
Today we bring an excellent example in the collection of complements and accessories for home by IHANNA HOME, an Icelandic design which we are sure you will love as much as we do. The aesthetics of its proposals is whimsical and fun (that is why they seduce at first sight), but at the same time is also functional.
The firm was founded by graphic designer Ingibjörg Hanna Bjarnadóttir, recently awarded the Erró Design Awards for a design inspired by Nobel laureate Halldór Laxness. You only have to see her creations to realize how wonderful they are, simple but original, modern and very elegant.
The proposals are deeply influenced by the Icelandic landscape, native wildlife and the powerful literary heritage. Ingibjörg Hanna runs her studio in Reykjavik and all designs are made in Europe.
To be honest, it is pretty difficult to choose because she has many things that we liked, but if it is a matter of life or death, we would opt for the hanger due to its originality, but the textiles are also fantastic… And you, what do you like the best?
