The story of the diamond began 30 years ago in the city Mbuji Mayi in the Democratic Republic of Congo when it was found by a poor little girl who found it by chance when playing in a pile of useless rock quarry. The yellow diamond, egg shaped in raw form it weighed 890 carats and changed many hands. Today, the Swiss house Mouawad created the impressive necklace: the internally flawless diamond that now weighs 407.48 carats and is mounted on a base of pink gold decorated with 90 white diamonds weighing nearly 230 carats. And if you’re wondering about the price, it exceeds 40 million.
