Their philosophy of contributing to the environmental conservation or get a world ‘greener every day’ are not only timely marketing positions. The headquarters of John Hardy in Ubud, which could pass for a luxury hotel in the middle of the rice terraces, is built with natural materials, among which are clay and bamboo. To offset the carbon emissions that their business can produce, the company has planted until last year more than 600,000 young bamboo trees on 114 Balinese villages. Bamboo fights against deforestation and helps to conserve water, two of the threats Bali, and half the world today, are facing.

Ubud headquarters

Damien Dernoncourt, CEO at John Hardy, seeks to perform all the advertising campaigns of the clothing firm in Bali. For him it is logical and normal to bring the models and photographers, always accompanied by all their crew, to the island where they were born, so that everyone can capture and then transmit through their visuals and video clips the soul of the brand.

These bracelets are unique in their kind. The independent and non-conformist nature shown by Simon Nessman to pose for this shooting perfectly embodies the philosophy and spirit of John Hardy, divinely captured by photographer Sebastian Faena under the creative direction of David Lipman.
