– Habitat ’11: This fantastic home has been designed by Sarah Chou, a student at the University of Alberta (Canada). She found inspiration in the Habitat ’67 houses by architect Moshe Safdie.

As you can see, the house has two floors where the cat can sleep and play. It also includes two integrated bowls where to serve food and water. Perhaps it lacks a scraper or a small ‘garden’ to plant some catnip.

– Poopy Cat: Everyone knows the obsession that cats have for boxes. The idea is to compose the house at our will using multiple boxes, as you can see in the pictures, until you find the result that you like best to everyone, us and the cat.

This photo is only an idea of how it can look, but we can compose boxes as we like and make the house for our cat as we wish, we can also change from time to time and give it another way for us not us get bored of seeing it and also to entertain our cat with the newness.

For now it is just a design. Its creators have not yet put on sale. In principle, it will be a litter box for cats but it would be better that they adapt it for other uses. For example, it could be a ‘real’ cave for cats. The top could be covered with catnip. But hey, let’s see how it will be the final product!

Even though the trailer’s great per se, the designer Bran Ferren takes advantage of the deployment of some modules to add a 50% of available space. Thus, this house on wheels includes a living room-kitchen equipped with almost everything. Apart of other spaces throughout the room that can be used as a pantry, it’s equipped with a refrigerator, a freezer, an oven, a microwave and even a ceramic hob.

With a capacity of three guests, the living room has an entertainment system that includes 4K TV, satellite channels, Internet access and an almost infinite library of movies.

To sleep, the KiraVan’s also prepared to accommodate three people in different ‘rooms’. Thanks to the caravan’s deployment, above the main bed a second one’s opened, and if there are guests that night, the dining table becomes a third sleeping area, cause every situation (like a pajama party) has been provided.

Perhaps the only downside (just to mention one) is that the vehicle has only one bathroom. Anyway, to avoid any bad smell, a system transforms the “waste” into a powder that’s not toxic or harmful to the environment.

The tour through the KiraVan ends at the office, where there are two PCs and a printer. Of course, the mobile loft’s WiFi and an information system able to control the status of the vehicle at any time.

A caravan that gives the opportunity to travel to any corner of the world only lacks its own energy. To achieve this autonomy, Ferren has built a diesel generator and solar batteries allowing KiraVan to acclimate for 10 hours without the need of turning the engine or the generator on.

Bran Ferren’s -among many other things- a recognized American inventor who works as a designer at Disney. The KiraVan project’s made for his four year old daughter Kira, who’ll be the final owner of the caravan.

Made with the same spirit and materials, the ones with three rooms are, as might be expected, larger and have more space for private enjoyment, from 2,000 to 3,000 square meters composed of a huge pool and spacious areas for relaxing and give rewarding family rides. Also lovers of this resort should have in mind that if they want to come back often or even think to settle in the island, they have the opportunity to acquire a private cottage.
