Vespa ‘Guardian’ by Pulsar Projects

Known and loved all over the world, the legendary Vespa is certainly a milestone in the history of motor-cycling also as a simply iconic design since it simple but unmistakable. Over the decades we have had the opportunity to see this same design distorted in every way, so much so that we rarely got to see something I do not know if it has somehow ‘already seen’, but this time we came across a reinterpretation of the legendary scooter ‘Made in Italy’ that really stands out from the crowd: the ‘Guardian’, the Vespa steampunk style made by Pulsar Projects.

To create this true work of art there was in fact just an artist, sculptor grecoCris Cofitis, who designed this Vespa with a really care for detail and with the potency to preserve the classical lines without leaving even a particular Sigolo without changes.

Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction mixed with fantasy, which is based so to speak to the technology of steam engines of the nineteenth century (‘steam’ means’ steam ‘in English) to imagine futuristic machines at the same time tasting the vintage (such as in the movie Wild Wild West, Van Helsing and Hellboy), and this is the inspiration that led Cofitis in the creation of this masterpiece. It is a perfect combination of art and engineering. In our humble opinion, undoubtedly it deserves a place of honor in the collection to the Vespa Piaggio Museum in Pontedera, maybe close to the one created by Guido Ricci Masè.
