Jason Morgan, the top American model, has replaced Simon Nessman in the task of providing his face to be the ambassador of the iconic fragrance Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani. Morgan has also posed for the spring-summer 2015 underwear campaign of the signature. The shooting of this eau fraîche, great for summer, has been photographed by Matthew Brookes.
The fashion film promotion, whereas, has been prepared under the direction of Jacob Sutton in Sardinia (Italy). This type of campaign that follows the trail blazed by Herb Ritts, and then perpetuated by photographers as renowned as Fabien Baron, Bruce Weber and Peter Lindbergh, who transmitted a world of beautiful and timeless sea pictures with an extremely modern view which, at the same time, seems to have taken a new step.
The dream of every photographer is to be capable of looking into the eyes of another person for a long time, capturing those moments that will later allow him to enter the mind of that person, their privacy, their delicacy and strength. A force that derives from self confidence. A kind of free spirit.
Sutton wanted to give his creation a slightly modern twist, perhaps also some more technical and adventurous, so this story movie was also recorded and edited in part at Pinewood Studios in London. There they used means as air cannons and large pyrotechnic explosions so that each frame looked dynamic and exciting, and that all passed evenly.
We feel sorry for Nessman for he had been practising as Acqua di Giò ambassador since 2012 and delighted our eye on many occasions, but we must admit that Jason deserves it too!
