Legend of the Chinese Zodiac | Year of the Horse

The year of the horse will start from February 2014 replacing the sixth sign, the sign of the snake. And the famous Swiss watch manufacturer, Vacheron Constantin, celebrating to the Chinese zodiac with his new masterpiece. This wonderful extension of the famous Metiers d’Art collection comes in two versions, either rose gold or platinum, each of which is limited to just 12 pieces.

The myth of the Chinese zodiac is an exclusive range of artistic clocks, based on a 12 year cycle. This watch has a pattern, leaf, which is typical for classical Chinese iconography, which is directly engraved gold dial. The most impressive work of the clock is immediately visible form of a horse, which was designed with every detail leading to the perfection.

Thanks to a high tech Calibre 2460 G4, the clock represents the legend of the Chinese Zodiac displays the time and date with a really unique way. Instead of using indicators, this great timepiece has four holes, which are placed around the central motif, to reveal the discs showing the hours, minutes, day and date, which comes with a blue dial and a black leather strap. In both cases come to the diameter of 40 mm and have fine polished finish. The lower part of the clock is visible through a sapphire crystal, which includes a mechanism 22 carats.

This mechanism works in the frequency of 28,800 oscillations per hour and about 40 hours ensures stock. The version with pink gold with a brown dial and a matching stylish leather strap, while the second version comes with a blue dial and black leather strap.
