They called it, Incomparable and for good reason since according to the Guinness book, the diamond necklace of Mouawad is the most precious jewel in the world for 2013. The story of the diamond began 30 years ago in the city Mbuji Mayi in the Democratic Republic of Congo when it was found by a poor little girl who found it by chance when playing in a pile of useless rock quarry. The yellow diamond, egg shaped in raw form it weighed 890 carats and changed many hands. Today, the Swiss house Mouawad created the impressive necklace: the internally flawless diamond that now weighs 407.48 carats and is mounted on a base of pink gold decorated with 90 white diamonds weighing nearly 230 carats. And if you’re wondering about the price, it exceeds 40 million.
