Louise Harris wanted the perfect wedding for her pet. Money didn’t matter. The physical appearance of the couple, neither.
This British lady, who runs a fashion boutique for dogs, prepared this special celebration taking into account many, many details. She spent 20,000€ ($28.6543) in different things, including the decoration of the tent where the ceremony was held. And not any tent, but one raised in the gardens of a mansion in Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex (London).
She also spent, according to local newspapers (which will be hardly taken seriously again!),a good amount of money in decorative flowers, security guards and the rental of this exclusive mansion. Imagine how bad our luck is for not having this woman as our mom if we tell you only the wedding dress cost about $1,500! It’s the most expensive wedding in Great Britain, the media reported.
“I just wanted Lola to have the perfect day. This was supposed to be a relatively small event, with 30 people at most, but the list was getting bigger (80 people attended the party)”, said Harris to the media. “The day was perfect from the beginning to the end!,” she added.
Lola, her 6 years old doggie, married a popular canine: Mugly, a Chinese dog who was recently awarded with the “ugliest dog in the UK” title in 2005.
How come so? Louise organized an online contest on her DivaDogs website and on Facebook to find the perfect husband for her dog. Against all logic she received hundreds of profiles for potential pretenders. “I didn’t think Lola would like him (Mugly). She’s a little diva, so I thought she would prefer a dog more like her. But they say opposite poles attract and they were happy playing together”, she added speaking of the day the dogs met for the first time.
