The Water Discus is designed in collaboration with the group Big Invest Group, based in Zurich, which is expected to help the project, estimated to cost between 50 and 100 million, depending on the final design. The maker Deep Ocean Technology plans to build 21 suites spread across two buildings reminiscent discs, one above water and the other with Submersible approximately 38 feet under water. Special lighting technology will allow visitors to observe the flora and fauna of the water from the large windows of underwater rooms. The futuristic designs include a bar, restaurant, pool and spa. Do not worry, the helipad is above water.
Poseidon Undersea Resort
The manufacturer Bruce Jones has envisioned that the Poseidon Undersea Resort in Fiji will be the harbinger of a chain of underwater luxury hotels. For couples looking for a unique place for their wedding, Poseidon also plans to create an underwater chapel overlooking a coral reef. The 25 underwater suites will have access to tennis courts and golf course. The idea of a chain of luxury underwater resort can still belongs to the realm of fiction, but Jones had this bold vision more than a decade ago.
