Dukan Diet

Developed by a French doctor, Pierre Dukan, this protein-based diet requires a person to switch to a high lean protein diet while cutting down on calories drastically to achieve weight loss in a short period of time. Grilled chicken breasts or turkey and snow peas are perfect for this diet.

Similarly to the Mediterranean Diet and the DASH Diet, MIND is the acronym for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. Aside from being the easiest diet to follow, according to experts, recommended food and ingredient choices include leafy vegetables, whole grains, fish, poultry, olive oil and wine, red meat, pastries. Guidelines are not strict that recommended intake is at least three servings of whole grains, vegetables and wine. The sweets and pastries are not totally excluded but intake should be in limited portions.

TLC Diet

With this type of diet between 8% and 10% of high cholesterol in the body will be removed in about six weeks. This eating plan is good for the heart and is called the “Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes Diet”. The main goal here is to cut down on fat intake, especially saturated fat which comes from whole milk dairy, fried foods and fatty meat. It is recommended that fiber intake is increased in this diet plan.

This is recommended for people who want to watch their blood pressure. DASH or Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, this diet should avoid the consumption of red meat, salt, sweets rich in calories and fat.
